Mobile app
The app's role
The GDDAO app is a companion for internal collaboration and field work. It is not a smaller version of the web platform, nor is it primarily a donor-facing app. It focuses on four things: real-time team collaboration, task execution, field data capture, and access to the knowledge base wherever you are.
Main capabilities
- Team conversations: Direct and group messaging, contacts, and Tag AI;
- Tasks: View organization and project tasks and submit deliverables;
- Knowledge base: Access information, folders, and processing status on the go;
- Push notifications: Receive tasks, messages, and reminders without needing to keep the app open.
Field recording and transcripts
The app includes audio recording for field interviews and quick meeting capture. Uploaded recordings are transcribed automatically, and some situations support live text while a person is speaking.
Share from Photos, Files, and Google Drive
Use the system share menu to send field photos, phone documents, and Google Drive files directly to GDDAO, then choose the workspace, project, or activity where they belong.
Offline and pending uploads
When the network is unstable, the app temporarily stores data on the device and resumes uploading later. Conflict handling and cross-device synchronization under weak network conditions continue to improve. For important data, check that the processing status changes to “Completed” after upload.
